Full job description

Kitchener Hyundai is currently seeking a Service Porter to join our team of customer focused professionals within our high volume and process-driven dealership.

Purpose/Summary of Position:

This position involves keeping the drive-thru at the dealership organized, safe, and clean to create a positive customer experience. The goal is to maintain a professional and friendly atmosphere by following established processes. This role requires collaborating with team members and finding ways to improve efficiency.

Key Accountabilities & Objectives:

Act as the first point of contact for service customers coming into the drive-thru

Greet and check-in customers for service appointments

Parking customer’s vehicles and assigning key tag numbers to each vehicle

Washing cars in our automated car wash

Perform minor maintenance on cars such as flat tires, boosting batteries and torquing wheel nuts as necessary (training will be provided)

Assist with snow removal and lot maintenance

Report any vehicle issues or damage to management

Assist with general maintenance to the service department such as sweeping, mopping floors, emptying garbage cans, etc.

Starting vehicles in cold weather to let them warm up for customers

Assist other departments with general maintenance as needed

Assist with special event preparations (tables, balloons, food, tent setup, etc.)

Minor administrative duties when needed such as calling customers to pick up their vehicles

Ability to work Saturdays as required

General assignments and duties assigned by management

Provide feedback to management and maintain open communication on concerns, suggestions, requirements, etc.

Special Requirements:

Valid driver’s license

Minimum High School Diploma

Must be able to physically handle the demands of the job
