Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Hand Exterior Installer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 4–10 years of hands-on experience in exterior renovations and a proven ability to lead crews, coordinate projects, and maintain high-quality workmanship. This role involves overseeing residential and light commercial projects while actively participating in the installation of siding, soffit, fascia, eavestroughs, and other exterior building components.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a crew of installers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
Install and repair exterior building components, including siding, soffit, fascia, eavestroughs, trim, and roofing materials using hand and power tools.
Read and interpret project specifications, measurements, and work orders.
Coordinate daily job site activities, material requirements, and crew assignments.
Train, mentor, and support team members to promote skill development and productivity.
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
Apply caulking, sealing, and weatherproofing techniques to ensure long-lasting results.
Utilize carpentry skills for framing, cutting, fitting, and finishing materials as required.
Conduct quality control inspections to ensure proper installation and customer satisfaction.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site at all times.
Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and team members regarding project progress and any site issues.

Qualifications

4–10 years of experience in exterior renovations, including siding, soffit, fascia, eavestroughs, and related installations.
Previous leadership, foreman, or lead hand experience is considered a strong asset.
Strong knowledge of installation methods, materials, and industry best practices.
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Ability to lift and carry construction materials up to 75 lbs.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance.
