Position: Psychotherapist/Social Worker

Site: St. Catherines, ON

Reports to: Clinical Director

Status: Full-time, Part-time, Casual, Freelance

About Us

Grounding Balance Wellness & Psychotherapy is an established and thriving Psychotherapy practice, providing quality counselling services.

Our private practice is seeking a Psychotherapist who is passionate about helping people achieve their therapy goals. The position is IN-PERSON at our St. Catharines location. You'll have the freedom to work independently while also being part of a supportive team.

Work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team and have access to professional supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering psychotherapy and/or counselling services following CRPO regulations for individuals, families and couples.
Build rapport and create safe therapeutic environments.
Assessment and creation of treatment plans.
Maintain confidential client records.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
Stay updated on research and therapy techniques.
Day and evening availability required.
Minimum one-year commitment.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Masters level education in related field.
Registered and in good standing with regulatory body
Strong assessment skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills; including oral and written communication skills, teamwork, and relationship building.
Knowledge and experience using evidence-based treatment modalities.
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be an asset: Couples counselling, EMDR, Brainspotting, EFT, IFS and Eating Disorders.
Supervision as required based on your College requirements.
