Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Hair Stylist to join our dynamic salon team. This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to develop professional skills in hair styling, customer service, and salon operations under the guidance of experienced stylists. The ideal candidate is passionate about beauty and grooming, eager to learn, and dedicated to providing exceptional client experiences. This paid apprenticeship provides hands-on training in a supportive environment, helping you build a foundation for a successful career in the beauty industry.

Responsibilities

Assist senior stylists with hair cutting, styling, coloring, and treatments while gaining practical experience
Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring a positive salon experience
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the salon to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
Engage with clients through effective communication to recommend suitable services and products
Support retail sales by promoting hair care products and upselling additional services when appropriate
Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments
Keep workstations organized and prepared for daily operations
Continuously learn new techniques and stay updated on current trends in hair styling

Skills

Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques and salon sanitation practices (training provided)
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
Willingness to learn new skills and accept constructive feedback
Ability to handle retail sales confidently by upselling products and services
Good organizational skills for managing appointments and maintaining cleanliness at workstations
Positive attitude, enthusiasm for the beauty industry, and a commitment to providing excellent client experiences

Pay: $18.25-$48.78 per hour
