Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ECE Level 2 - 3 professional to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting the development and well-being of young children, including those with special needs, in a nurturing classroom environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for fostering children's growth. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to effectively serve diverse communities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative setting committed to excellence in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing age-appropriate educational activities and lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs through engaging interactions
Provide individualized attention to children with disabilities or special needs, ensuring inclusive participation
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behavior
Collaborate with team members to develop strategies that support children's learning goals
Utilize computer skills for documentation, record keeping, and reporting purposes
Demonstrate leadership by guiding less experienced staff or interns as needed
Manage time effectively to balance instructional duties with administrative tasks

Qualifications

Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings or classrooms is required
Childcare certification or early childhood education credentials at Level 2 or 3 are essential
Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education is preferred
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, families, and team members
Computer literacy including basic operation of educational software and documentation tools
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Writing skills for maintaining accurate records and reports

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
