Job Description – Program Worker

Reports To: Team Leader at Residence

Part time - 24 hours/week

Tuesday 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm, Wednesday 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Thursday 12:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Friday 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Program Worker to provide hands-on support to individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities in a residential home setting. This role involves assisting residents in developing and maintaining daily living skills, with the goal of enhancing their overall quality of life and promoting independence within a supportive living environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent.
Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with common software applications.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
Experience and competence in crisis intervention and response.
Valid driver’s license with a safe and confident driving record.
Must provide a clear Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check.
Must carry a minimum of $2 million in vehicle liability insurance.

Work Location: In person

Wages:
Permanent part time positions $17.89 – $22.25 - dependent on education/experience

Pay: $17.25-$21.45 per hour
