Full job description

Overview

We’re looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join us as Mascot Character Performers for an upcoming promotional photoshoot!

Performers will wear one of our full-body mascot character costumes and work with our photographer and creative team to capture fun, energetic photos that may be used for promotional, marketing, website and social media purposes.

Duties

Wearing and performing in a full-body mascot character costume
Posing for individual and group photos
Bringing the character to life through movement, gestures and body language
Following direction from the photographer and creative team
Creating fun, energetic and expressive poses appropriate for the character
Taking reasonable breaks as needed during the shoot

Skills

Energetic, outgoing and comfortable performing in costume
Able to communicate personality and emotion without speaking
Comfortable wearing a full mascot costume, including a character head
Able to follow posing and movement direction
Reliable, punctual and professional
Previous mascot, character, dance, theatre or performance experience is an asset, but not required

Important Details

This is a short, approximately one-hour photoshoot rather than a live event or extended mascot appearance. No interaction with the public is expected.

Mascot costumes can become warm while being worn, so performers should be comfortable with moderate physical activity and working inside a full costume for short periods of time.

Compensation: $75 CAD
Photoshoot Date and Time: TBD
Location: Whitby, ON
