Full job description

This position requires flexible availability (part-time/full-time positions both available) and reliable transportation to Tsawwassen. We are willing to train the right candidate who can start as a Line Cook and grow into this Sous Chef position.

Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sous Chef and become a vital part of delivering exceptional dining experiences. This energetic role offers the opportunity to develop your culinary skills, lead kitchen operations, and support the head chef in maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. If you’re passionate about food preparation, kitchen management, and creating memorable meals, this position is perfect for you! We are committed to fostering a lively, supportive environment where your culinary talents can thrive.

Responsibilities

Assist the chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality food production
Prepare a variety of dishes with attention to presentation, taste, and consistency in accordance with menu specifications
Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and hygiene standards to guarantee guest safety
Manage inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste and control costs
Support team management by training new staff, fostering teamwork, and maintaining a positive kitchen environment
Uphold food safety protocols at all times, including proper storage, sanitation procedures, and temperature controls

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service roles within the food industry
Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and hygiene practices
Interest and/or familiarity with Korean cuisine
Familiarity with restaurant management operations and kitchen workflows
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
