Overview
Embark on an exhilarating journey as a Northern Lights Guide, where you will lead awe-inspiring excursions to witness one of nature’s most spectacular phenomena—the Aurora Borealis. This paid position invites passionate storytellers and outdoor enthusiasts to share the magic of the night sky with travelers from around the globe. Your role is to create memorable, educational, and safe experiences while showcasing your expertise in celestial phenomena, local lore, and environmental stewardship. Responsibilities

Lead guided tours to optimal viewing locations for the Northern Lights, ensuring safety and comfort for all participants
Share captivating stories, scientific insights, and cultural legends related to the Aurora Borealis to enhance guest understanding and appreciation
Manage tour logistics efficiently, including timing, transportation coordination, and equipment setup
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
Maintain clear communication with team members and guests throughout excursions to ensure smooth operations
Educate participants on environmental conservation practices and local wildlife awareness during outdoor activities
Demonstrate leadership by guiding groups responsibly while fostering an inclusive and enthusiastic atmosphere

Qualifications

Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to connect with diverse audiences
Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage audiences of varying ages and backgrounds
Proven experience in customer service, outdoor guiding, or teaching roles that require clear communication and patience
Excellent time management skills to coordinate tours efficiently within tight schedules
Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage groups effectively
Passion for astronomy, environmental education, or outdoor adventure activities is preferred
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, nights, and weather-dependent conditions
