Fountain Tire Nanaimo (4801 Wellington Road) is expanding its mechanical business to an 11-bay shop! And is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as a Licensed Automotive Service Technician!

You will get to:

Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
Completing approved service on customer vehicles
Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune ups.
Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

What does it take to get on track?

Red Seal Automotive Service Technician status, CVI and CVSE certification is required
Diesel experience is an asset
Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
