Job Overview

Duties

Assist with meat cutting, trimming, and preparation according to established standards, (Previous knowledge of this not necessary- willing to educate on this)
Handle food products safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines
Prepare and package meat products for sale or distribution, ensuring proper labeling and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in compliance with health standards
Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed
Ensure proper storage of meat and other perishable items to maintain freshness
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with selections when required

Requirements

Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in butchery or kitchen assistance, is required
Knowledge of food preparation, meat cutting, and food handling techniques is a bonus
Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed for business operations

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
