Full job description

Location: Windsor-Essex, ON

Our client is an established automotive manufacturing organization operating multiple production facilities in the Windsor-Essex region. They are growing their skilled trades team and are seeking a Maintenance Millwright Apprentice who wants to continue developing their trade in a stable, long-term manufacturing environment.

This opportunity is well suited to a registered Millwright Apprentice who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and working alongside an experienced maintenance team.

This is a plant maintenance position supporting manufacturing operations. It is not a construction or installation-only role.

What you will be doing

Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and related machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize production downtime.
Repair and replace mechanical components including bearings, shafts, seals, and other machine components.
Maintain presses and associated production equipment.
Assist with equipment installations and assembly.
Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical specifications.
Complete maintenance work orders and required documentation.
Assist outside contractors during equipment repairs and installations.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and production performance.
Perform minor facility maintenance as required.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

What we're looking for

Registered Millwright Apprentice.
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Previous industrial manufacturing experience.
Mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience.
Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Must provide your own tools.
Experience with injection moulding equipment is considered a strong asset.

Working environment

Automotive manufacturing facility.
Fast-paced production environment.
Frequent use of hand and power tools.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Exposure to a noisy industrial environment.
