Job Summary

Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals. In this energetic role, you will manage appointment scheduling, greet clients with warmth, and ensure smooth communication between clients and veterinary staff. Your positive attitude will help create a welcoming environment that fosters trust and confidence in our care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a compassionate team dedicated to animal health and well-being.

Duties

Greet clients and their pets with friendliness and professionalism, creating a positive first impression
Schedule appointments efficiently, managing multiple calendars to optimize daily operations
Answer phone calls promptly, providing clear information and directing inquiries appropriately
Maintain accurate patient records, updating medical histories and treatment details with precision
Assist in processing payments, invoices, and insurance documentation accurately
Coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff to ensure seamless care delivery
Support the veterinary team with laboratory experience tasks such as sample handling and data entry when needed

Skills

Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
Strong organizational abilities to manage appointments, records, and administrative tasks efficiently
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, record keeping, and billing systems
Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and dedication to client service
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations professionally
Veterinary experience preferred
