Junior Service Advisor

Reports To

Service Manager

Position Summary

The Junior Service Advisor is responsible for assisting customers throughout the vehicle service process, supporting senior advisors, preparing repair orders, communicating maintenance recommendations, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in automotive service management and customer relations.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service

Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner.
Gather vehicle and customer information accurately.
Schedule service appointments and manage incoming calls.
Explain basic maintenance services and repair recommendations.
Keep customers informed of vehicle status and completion times.
Address customer concerns and escalate issues when necessary.

Administrative Duties

Open and close repair orders accurately.
Maintain customer records and vehicle histories.
Process invoices and collect payments.
Assist with warranty documentation and service records.
Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed correctly.

Shop Coordination

Communicate customer concerns to technicians.
Assist in prioritizing workflow and scheduling.
Monitor repair progress and update customers accordingly.
Coordinate parts availability with the parts department or suppliers.
Support efficient vehicle delivery and pick-up processes.

Sales & Business Development

Identify opportunities for maintenance and repair services.
Promote preventive maintenance programs.
Assist with service reminders and customer follow-up calls.
Help maintain customer retention and satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Automotive knowledge or experience considered an asset.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Proficiency with computers and service management software.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
