Full job description

Job Overview

Established LaSalle law office is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant in the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney, and all aspects of Estate Administration. Additional experience in Real Estate law would be an asset to our firm.

Duties

Assist with drafting, proofreading, and reviewing wills, estate documents, and related legal correspondence to ensure clarity and accuracy.
Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain comprehensive client and case information.
Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information for estate planning or probate processes.
Prepare filing systems for estate documents, correspondence, and court filings, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling general clerical duties to support the legal team effectively.

Experience

Must have 1-3 years of experience related to Wills and Estates.
Salary to commensurate with experience.
Previous administrative or clerical experience within a legal setting is highly preferred.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Strong writing skills for preparing legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
Proven ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism in client interactions.
