Full job description

Job Summary

Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with employers, community organizations, workforce stakeholders, and Employment Ontario partners.
Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing growth of the Youth Ready Employer Network.
Increase awareness of the strengths, needs, and potential of youth experiencing barriers to employment.
Promote inclusive and youth-ready workplace practices.
Identify employment, placement, mentorship, work experience, and other opportunities that align with the skills, interests, and goals of youth participants.

Responsibilities

Proactively identify, recruit, and engage local employers to participate in the Youth Ready Employer Network.
· Develop and maintain an understanding of employer workforce needs, hiring practices, workplace environments, job requirements, and emerging industry trends.
· Promote New Beginnings Employment Services and CareerWise programs to employers and community partners.
· Identify opportunities for employers to participate in employment initiatives, mentorship, job shadowing, work experience, recruitment activities, and other youth employment opportunities.
· Maintain regular communication with employers to strengthen relationships, identify emerging opportunities, and support ongoing engagement.
· Engage with community organizations, workforce stakeholders, Employment Ontario service providers, WREN, and other relevant partners to strengthen employment pathways for youth.
· Attend community meetings, employer networking events, committees, partnership opportunities as required.
· Provide employers with education, consultation, and support related to working with youth experiencing barriers to employment, including mental health challenges, disabilities, homelessness, child welfare involvement, limited work experience, and other circumstances that may affect employment.
· Support employers in developing youth-ready workplace practices, including inclusive recruitment and hiring, effective onboarding, workplace accommodations, mentorship, communication, supervision, and retention.
· Develop and facilitate employer-focused workshops, Lunch & Learns, information sessions, training opportunities.
· Develop and maintain employer resources, toolkits, presentations, and other materials that promote youth-ready employment practices.

Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated experience working with employers and/or developing employment opportunities for youth.
· Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Social Services, Employment Services, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
· Experience developing employer/community partnerships, programs, or initiatives is considered an asset.
· Bilingual French/English is considered an asset.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong presentation, networking, and facilitation skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and utilize relevant organizational databases and employment service systems.
· Police Record Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Screening is required. NVCI, CPR, First Aid Certificate, immunization record, medical clearance, a valid Ontario Class "G" driver’s licence and access to a vehicle and Clean Driver’s Abstract is required prior working directly with clients. Will be expected to work irregular hours as required by client or program needs, which include weekends and evenings.

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
