Full job description

The Wingham Medical Associates consisting of Dr Moores and Dr Vander Klippe have an opening for a Medical Office Receptionist.

Job description

You will be working closely with the physicians and nurses in a family practice as an integral part of the support staff team.

As well as a resume, please include a cover letter expressing why you believe you would be a good fit for this position.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma

Medical office assistant certificate/diploma an asset

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS:

Extremely proficient and comfortable with computer, including use of Electronic Medical Records software. This is primarily a paperless office and superior computer skills are critical.

Experience with ACCURO medical software is a definite asset.

Experience working in a family practice office is an asset.

Professional & efficient telephone manner.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy office.

Excellent ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to solve problems and manage time well.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:

Duties include greeting and welcoming patients, appointment scheduling and prioritizing patient appointments, collecting payment from patients for uninsured services, general office duties including answering the phones, filing, scanning and reconciling specialist referrals.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week

Work Location: In person
