ABOUT US:

Devonshire Properties is a real estate firm that specializes in the professional management of multi-family residential rental apartments. With properties across Canada, we are looking for a new leasing agent to join our team in Winnipeg! Our Whellam Lane property nears 700 unique suites, and we are in search of our next leasing team member!

ABOUT YOU:

You are goal oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast paced environment. You have experience in customer service and/or sales, and along with great communication skills, you get excited about closing your next deal.

THE ROLE

This Leasing Specialist position is primarily responsible for leasing, showing vacant suites, communicating with prospective and current tenants, rent collection, and customer service.

Some Responsibilities Include:

Offering rental information and selling suites over the telephone and email.
Schedule and conduct showings & tour the building with new and prospective tenants.
Process applications, background and credit checks, and facilitate lease signing appointments, and schedule move in and move out inspections.
Monitor vacant suites.
Maintain and update the tenant database and rent roll.
Answering the telephone & dealing with all tenant inquiries
Log tenant concerns and work with the Property Manager to resolve them
Rent collection and payment processing
Assist the Property Manager in her duties as needed
Organize maintenance requests

Qualifications:

Experience in a similar customer-facing role
College diploma or Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing (preferred)
A strong work ethic combined with a high level of enthusiasm, attention-to-detail, reliability, and dedication
Experience of successful sales or leasing in Real Estate, Property Management, Construction, or Renovations.
Highly organized, high energy, and ability to multitask
Proficiency in GSuite
Knowledge of Manitoba Residential Tenancies legislation is an asset
Must be able to work evenings and weekends
Able to provide a Criminal Record check
