We are seeking a Community Outreach & Industry Support Coordinator who is passionate about connecting people to opportunity and helping shape the future of aviation in Manitoba.
Reports To: Program Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
Community Engagement (40%)
- Develop and execute an annual outreach and engagement plan aligned with workforce priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, post-secondary institutions, Indigenous communities, employment agencies, and community organizations.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, industry events, and community initiatives.
- Coordinate and deliver engaging presentations that promote industry awareness and career pathways.
- Support inclusive participation by identifying and reducing barriers for underrepresented groups.
Training Delivery Support (25%)
- Assist logistics and support the delivery of training programs, workshops, and industry sessions.
- Work closely with the Training Program Manager to ensure effective and professional program execution.
- Assist in the development and preparation of training materials and resources.
- Support participant tracking, communication, and follow-up activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement through feedback collection and program evaluation.
Marketing & Communications (20%)
- Assist in the development and distribution of outreach materials, including presentations, social media content, and promotional campaigns.
- Ensure consistency and alignment with organizational branding and messaging
- Support promotion of programs, events, and industry opportunities to targeted audiences.
- Contribute to storytelling and impact reporting that highlights program outcomes and successes.
Data Collection & Administrative Support (15%)
- Maintain and update databases related to outreach, partnerships, and program participation.
- Support the tracking and reporting on key performance indicators and outcomes in alignment with SCP requirements.
- Support the preparation for activity reports.
- Support budget tracking and administrative coordination for programs and events.
- Ensure accurate documentation and organized file management practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Creative Communications, or a related field is required. A combination of education and relevant experience in community outreach, association work, or workforce development will be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences including youth, educators, industry, and community partners.
- Demonstrated experience in community outreach, stakeholder engagement, or partnership development.
- Experience supporting marketing and communications initiatives, including content development, event promotion, and campaign support.
- Ability to support training delivery or educational programming in a coordinated and professional manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and digital tools such as social media and survey platforms.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Volunteer Coordinating.
- Understanding of Manitoba’s workforce landscape, including barriers to participation and inclusive engagement practices, is considered an asset.
- Experience working with associations, non-profits, or community-based organizations is an asset.
- Experience in aviation, transportation, or a related industry is not required but can be considered an asset.
Work Environment
· Combination of home, office, and off-site work.
· Travel within Manitoba is required.
· Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support events and programming.
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
