About Pleasant Plumber
Pleasant Plumber is a growing plumbing company focused on delivering exceptional service while building a scalable, high-performing organization.
We're now looking for an entrepreneurial Director of Service Line Development to build new revenue-generating businesses within Pleasant Plumber.
This is not a traditional management position. We're looking for a builder.
You'll take new service lines from:
Idea → Launch → Team → Systems → Sales → Profitability → Management → Handoff
Once a division is established, profitable, and capable of operating without your day-to-day involvement, you hand it off and move on to the next opportunity.
Position Overview
Your initial mandate is to build three new service divisions within approximately 6–9 months.
1. Pipe Lining — First 3 Months
Build Pleasant Plumber's pipe-lining division from the ground up, including equipment, staffing, training, pricing, sales, marketing, SOPs, KPIs, and profitability.
2. Residential Sewer & Waterline Replacement — Months 3–6
Build the complete operation, including equipment, vehicles, staffing, training, pricing, estimating, financing, sales, marketing, safety, SOPs, KPIs, and management.
3. Water Treatment — Months 6–9
Build our water-treatment division, including products and suppliers, installation processes, training, pricing, margins, lead generation, sales, SOPs, KPIs, and management.
The goal isn't simply to add three services. The goal is to build three profitable businesses.

- Build efficient, scalable operating systems for each division.
- Create SOPs, checklists, workflows, training materials, and quality-control processes.
- Establish clear accountability and performance standards.
- Continuously improve processes, efficiency, customer experience, and profitability.
- Ensure successful processes are documented and repeatable.
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves operations, organization, systems, and SOPs. Being meticulous is a strength in this role.
People & Leadership
- Determine staffing requirements and recruit the right people.
- Build training and onboarding processes.
- Develop team members and future managers.
- Establish clear roles, expectations, and accountability.

- Establish estimating, financing, follow-up, and closing processes.
- Work with marketing to generate the leads required for growth.

- Develop or recruit the manager who will take over each division.
- Ensure the business has the systems, people, documentation, and KPIs required to operate independently.
- Create a playbook documenting how the business works and how it can be replicated.
- Successfully hand off each division and move on to the next opportunity.
What We're Looking For

- Opportunity to increase to up to $130,000 within the first year based on successful service-line launches, profitability, and handoffs
- Performance-based bonus program

The philosophy is simple:
Build something valuable. Make it profitable. Make it repeatable. Hand it off. Get rewarded.
Why Join Pleasant Plumber?
This is an opportunity to build businesses—not simply manage an existing department.
You'll have significant ownership over the development of three new revenue divisions and the opportunity to create the systems and playbooks that can eventually be replicated across future Pleasant Plumber markets.
For the right person, this role can evolve into broader leadership roles.
We're looking for someone who gets excited by:
Building. Organizing. Documenting. Measuring. Improving. Hiring. Training. Solving.
If you're an entrepreneurial operator who wants to build something from the ground up—and you're the kind of person who gets genuinely excited about a great SOP—we'd love to hear from you.
