Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform welding tasks in underground environments in support of ventilation system installations
- Fabricate and install spiral pipe as per project specifications
- Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently in accordance with underground safety protocols
- Collaborate with crew members to meet project timelines and quality standards
- Inspect and test welds to ensure structural soundness
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven underground training and welding experience
- Experience in spiral pipe fabrication (asset)
- Valid welding certifications (e.g. CWB or equivalent)
- Strong commitment to safety and working in confined underground spaces
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work as part of a team
Work Conditions
- Work is performed in underground mining or tunneling environments
- Exposure to confined spaces, dust, noise, humidity, and varying temperatures
- Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and respirators as required
- Physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, crouching, and working in awkward positions for extended periods
- May involve shift work, extended hours, or weekend work depending on project demands
- Requires strict adherence to safety procedures and underground regulations

Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
