We are seeking an entry-level, Diamond Setter Level 1 for our Setting department. Setters are primarily responsible for assembling graphite molds and the preparation of diamond impregnated metal-bond drilling and grinding tools as well as (but not limited to) surface-set, TSP-set and PDC-set metal-bond drilling tools. This position is for the Day shift – 7:00am to 3:00 pm., Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

Reading and interpreting written work instructions.
Assemble and prepare grinding tools for furnace processing.
Assemble graphite molds for bit (drilling) products.
Fill, set, and prepare bit (drilling) products for furnace processing.
Clean grinding tool molds.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualification:

High school diploma or equivalent.
0-2 years’ experience in a production environment.
Previous experience or ability in working with small parts (eg. assembly of electronic boards, sewing).
Equivalent experience may be evaluated in lieu of above qualifications

Key competencies:

Manual dexterity and exceptional hand-eye coordination.
Ability to work meticulously performing repetitive tasks while sitting for long periods of time, and in close proximity to other employees.
Ability to work with powdered metal materials and small hand tools.
Ability to work with small hand tools.
Knowledge and experience with weighing tools and measuring devices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills in the English language.
Demonstrated mathematical skills.

Perform duties in a safe manner that is compliant with Workplace Safety and Health requirements, and in accordance with company Safe Work Procedures.
