In this role your responsibilities will include construction inspection, construction administration, surveying, survey compilation, drafting, planning, analysis, and other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do
In this position, you will participate in resident field services that includes topographic and quantity surveying, construction reviews, contract administration assistance and other field work as required. Responsibilities will also include drafting of civil infrastructure projects such as water distribution systems, wastewater and stormwater collection systems, site grading and earthworks modeling, drainage improvements, storm ponds, roadways and parking lots, and infrastructure renewal and replacements.
Does this sound like you?
- Diploma in Municipal Engineering Technology, or similar program recognized by CTTAM
- Have, or will immediately obtain, and maintain registration with CTTAM
- 1-5 years experience in the drafting of civil infrastructure projects, gained in an engineering workplace setting
- Willing to develop strong skills in in the use of AutoDesk Civil 3D, as well as other CADD-based civil design software
- Strong attention to detail
- Committed team player
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work independently
- Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Forward thinking and focused on opportunities to improve overall team performance and client service
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Experience working in the field is an asset
- Possess a valid class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Available to travel to project sites within MB
- Able to work 10+ hour days (paid overtime), possibly for extended periods, away from home
