Overview
Commercial builds industry-leading apparatus for essential sectors such as fire, utility, towing, municipalities, and others, and we rely every day on our talented production team members to put vehicles together for these vital customers. Our Installation and Assembly Technicians work in concert with millwrights, engineers, parts, and procurement to transform bare chassis into complete working vehicles with attention to detail, quick thinking, problem solving, and collaboration. Our Installation and Assembly Technicians also support other important processes within the Production department including final verification and testing of equipment performance.
The successful candidate will likely have a diverse mechanical background with a combination of education and experience to confidently complete installation of electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, aerials, cranes, plows, lights, and more. This is a vast scope of work and includes a very limited amount of repetitive work with active thinking and troubleshooting.
Employees that have been successful for us have come from broad and varied backgrounds including marine, light automotive, aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, and heavy equipment, but they all share a few common traits: They’re curious, accountable, responsible, and independent logical thinkers with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability. They’re technically savvy, and they can communicate politely and professionally with clients, engineering, parts, and procurement. We encourage all candidates with interest and direct or adjacent knowledge and experience to apply.
