Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Paramedic to join our medical team. This vital role involves providing immediate medical assistance and patient care in an industrial camp setting. The ideal candidate will have pre-hospital experience, strong patient care skills, and a solid understanding of medical terminology. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Duties

Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide pre-hospital care to patients
Assess patient conditions accurately and determine appropriate treatment protocols
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation
Transferring patient care to the appropriate emergency response team
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
Maintain and operate medical equipment, ensuring all tools are sterile and functional
Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to move patients or equipment safely
Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures during patient interactions
Document all patient care activities thoroughly and accurately in compliance with regulations

Skills

Proven pre-hospital experience with a focus on emergency or primary care settings
Strong skills in patient care, including assessment, stabilization, and communication
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to emergency medical services
Ability to administer medications safely and effectively under protocol guidelines
Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or movement during shifts
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork and patient interaction
Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations
Familiarity with medical equipment operation and maintenance is preferred

This role is essential for delivering high-quality emergency medical services and ensuring patient safety. We seek motivated individuals committed to providing compassionate care in fast-paced environments.

This role involves rotational shifts, specifically, 14 on - 14 off rotations working 12 hours each shift.

Pay: $40.00-$42.00 per hour
