Product Analyst

Full-Time | Hybrid (Minimum 3 Days In-Office) | Winnipeg, MB

Telpay is a growing Canadian Fintech company delivering innovative payment solutions to businesses across Canada. We are seeking an experienced Product Analyst to join our product team and translate product strategy into well-defined, customer-focused solutions. This role bridges Product, Engineering, Design, Project Management, and business stakeholders to ensure ideas are validated, requirements are clear, and features are delivered as intended.

Reporting to the Vice President, Product Management, this is an execution-focused product role for someone who enjoys understanding customer problems, defining how products should work, and collaborating closely with Engineering throughout delivery. You’ll help shape features from early discovery through release, ensuring every solution delivers meaningful customer and business value.

Some of What You'll Do:

Partner with Product Leadership to translate product strategy into detailed functional requirements, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
Support product discovery by gathering and synthesizing customer feedback, market research, competitive insights, and internal stakeholder input.
Evaluate incoming product requests from Sales, Support, Operations, Customers, and Leadership to validate the underlying problem, business value, customer impact, and alignment with product direction.
Conduct root cause analysis on product issues, customer pain points, workflow gaps, and production defects to identify opportunities for improvement.
Map user journeys, business processes, and end-to-end workflows to ensure features deliver a consistent customer experience.
Collaborate daily with Engineering and Design to clarify requirements, answer functional questions, resolve ambiguities, and support delivery throughout development.
Define and document business rules, edge cases, validation logic, and expected system behaviour across product workflows and integrations.
Coordinate functional validation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring delivered features meet business requirements before release.
Gather and synthesize feedback from customers, Sales, Customer Success, Support, and Operations to identify product improvements and usability opportunities.
Prepare functional documentation, release notes, and internal product communications to support successful product launches.
Review product usage data, customer feedback, and operational insights to support prioritization and product decisions.
Present findings, recommendations, and solution options to Product Leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

3–5 years of experience in a product-focused role, such as Product Analyst, Business Analyst or Product Coordinator, preferably in fintech, payments, accounting or another regulated industry.
Ability to translate customer and business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules.
Experience collaborating with Engineering and Design throughout the product development lifecycle, including within Agile environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex processes into intuitive product experiences.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
A customer-first, detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify friction, edge cases, exceptions and operational impacts.
Comfortable using product metrics, operational reporting and customer feedback to inform decisions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
