Interprovincial Cooperative Limited (IPCO), a respected leader in the Agricultural industry, is currently recruiting Production Workers to join our team. What you’ll do:
Under the guidance of Plant Supervisors, you are responsible for the safe handling of agricultural products, supporting team members, and ensuring all safety and quality-related activities are carried out according to procedures.
Key responsibilities:
- Guiding, training, and delegating tasks to co-workers (up to 10).
- Safely handling and packaging agricultural products.
- Meeting quality, formulation, and packaging standards.
- Focus on packaging agricultural products.
- Operate packaging equipment and ensure it runs efficiently.
- Perform manual handling of packaging materials.
- Carry out quality checks during the packaging process and maintaining accurate records.
- Support production team members through training and task delegation.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Participating in plant/process improvement initiatives.
- General housekeeping, recordkeeping, and inventory support.
- Following all safety, PPE, contamination prevention, TDG, and respectful workplace policies.
- Reporting issues to the Supervisor and performing other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work under pressure in high-demand situations.
- Ability to perform manual labour and repetitive activities.
- Lift up to 25 kg (floor to waist and waist to shoulders).
- Extensive standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and repetitive activities.
- Ability to position self (stooping, kneel, crouch or crawl) to offload rail cars, tank trucks, ISO’s, hook up fittings to tanks, etc.
- Ability to operate powered mobile equipment (forklift, reach truck, scissor lift, floor washer, etc.).
- Operate production equipment, handheld scanners, computers, and calculators.
- Ability to work at heights, climb ladders, and connect fittings for bulk transfers.
- Ability to wear half-face and full-face respirators.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors as required.
Qualifications:
- Shift placement is to be determined based on operational requirements and will be one of the following shifts. Applicant must be able and willing to work all three shifts: Day shift 7am-3:30pm, Evening shift 3pm-11:30pm or Night shift 11pm – 7:30am.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Solid work references, punctual/dependable with reliable transportation.
- English language proficiency at CLB Level 6.
- Experience in team support, training, or leadership is preferred.
- Mechanically inclined, with ability to learn troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Quality Control and Inventory Control is an asset.
- Experience with hazardous materials and WHMIS certification preferred.
- Must achieve 80% on math/aptitude assessment.
