Intro

The Wolfville Farmers’ Market Cooperative is a vibrant organization home to a year-round Saturday Market, an online ecommerce store (WFM2Go.ca), a growing building rentals business, and we are part of an experiential tourism business (foodartnature.ca). Together, we help incubate and provide business opportunities for over 100 local farmers, artisans, and chefs.

We are a leader in the farmers market sector, active supporters of our vendors, and have numerous partnerships with community groups. We are progressive in our programming and passionate about creating the best experiences possible to reflect and nourish our community. We offer a real opportunity for those eager to make a difference and be part of their community.

We are searching for someone with excellent marketing skills from graphic design to all aspects of social media and e-news marketing including messaging, photography and social media video making. Additionally we would be excited to work with someone who is as passionate as we are about everything local and who is eager to amplify the values of our cooperative.

Job Description

Working with the Executive Director and Managing Director for WFM2Go, the Marketing Coordinator will be tasked with implementing marketing strategies in support of a number of services offered by the Wolfville Farmers’ Market Co-operative, especially the Saturday Market and WFM2Go.

The Marketing Coordinator position is an opportunity for someone who is passionate about the local economy, local food system and the community; someone highly organized, creative and professional who can enthusiastically bring creativity and marketing skills to the position.

Responsibilities:

Helping us implement a more cohesive brand/marketing relationship between WFM and WFM2Go
Managing Social Media sites for WFM, WFM2Go and Rentals
Creating professional, creative and engaging social media content using photography, videography, graphics, research, interviews, and engaging text each week for the co-operative.
Manage the mailchimp account and create a weekly WFM Co-operative E-news.
Update Wix websites as needed
Creation of graphics and brand collateral for WFM Co-operative services

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Demonstrated Marketing Experience
Marketing degree considered an asset
Experience developing, creating, and implementing social media content
Photography and videography skills for social media purposes
Passionate creative thinker with strong writing skills
Graphic design skills using canva
Demonstrated planning, organizational, and time management skills
Able to work in a self directed manner and communicate effectively with the team
Demonstrated professionalism, dependability, and attention to detail
Experience with Google Drive, Canva, Mailchimp, and social media planning software
