Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Boom Truck Driver to join our team in. This role involves operating boom trucks to assist with construction, rigging, and material handling projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience working with heavy equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, ensuring efficient and safe operations on-site.
Responsibilities
- Operate boom trucks safely and efficiently to lift, move, and position materials at construction sites or industrial locations
- Perform rigging duties to secure loads properly before lifting
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met
- Assist with crane operations when necessary, coordinating with team members for smooth workflow
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients to coordinate tasks and ensure project requirements are met
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily operations and equipment usage
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance as needed
Skills
- Proven experience operating boom trucks, cranes, or similar heavy machinery in construction or industrial settings
- Knowledge of rigging techniques and safety procedures for lifting operations
- Ability to operate forklifts and other related equipment is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs or troubleshooting on equipment
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual or multilingual abilities, to facilitate clear coordination among diverse teams
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or site visitors
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting loads and working at heights safely
- Valid driver’s license with relevant certifications for operating heavy machinery is required
