· Buffalo Airways has operated from the North since 1970 and is headquartered in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. With door-to-door delivery network serving more than 400 comminutes.
· It’s operational fleet includes aircraft such as the L-188 Electra, Curtiss C-46, Douglas DC-3, King Air 90 & 100, Boeing 737 freighters, CL-215, and AT-802 Fire Boss aircraft.
· On-demand passenger and cargo services, including aerial fire-suppression.
Standard Qualifications
*Do not apply without meeting all listed requirements. Only Transport Canada licenses, ratings, certifications, are recognized. DO NOT apply if you don’t currently hold Transport Canada issued documents*
· Must have valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilots License
· Must have valid Transport Canada Multi-Engine rating
· Must have valid and current Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating; MUST meet the instrument recency requirements
· Must have valid Transport Canada Category 1 Medical with more than 6 months validity
· Must have a current PPC on King Air 100 and/or Beechcraft 1900 with more than 6 months validity
· Must have completed the Transport Canada English proficiency test with Level 6 (Expert) competency in all categories. Required by Transport Canada if you are a Non-Canadian Citizen or if you are a Canadian Citizen who did not graduate from a Canadian High School with a diploma and a transcript indicating English Language studies completion
Mandatory Requirements
· Must have minimum a College Diploma
· Must have minimum 1000 hours total flying time with 750 hours multi-turbine hour
· Must have 500 hours IFR flight time and 80 hours nighttime flying time
· Must have two-crew operations experiences
· Must have Northern/Arctic experience
· Valid Canadian Passport or legally able to live and work in Canada
· Valid Driver’s license with clear driver’s background
· Must be willing and able to relocate to Yellowknife, NT, for the duration of employment. A two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off schedule is not available

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
· Pre-flight duties familiarization: Route, aerodromes, winds, weather, navigation aids, alternate plans
· Ensure flight safety in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations
· Operate aircraft in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations and take corrective actions if safety is jeopardized, adhere to checklist for various flight phases
· Observe instructions and limitations in Operations Manual, Flight Manual, and Certificate of Airworthiness
· Follow Air Traffic Control, Communications, and Weather reporting procedures
· Report known or suspected aircraft defects to maintenance department and record in Journey Log
· Check weather for unusual conditions and take precautions when necessary to protect personnel and aircraft
· Complete and submit associated paperwork for quality assurance check (Journey Log, Fight Manifests, Dangerous Goods, etc.)
· Carry out any duties as detailed in the Safety Management System Manual
· Carry out all duties assigned by flight operations managers associated to flight operations
Working Conditions
· Flights may involve operating into remote or challenging fields, requiring high levels of skill and adaptability
· Physical activities including, but not limited to lifting, climbing, sitting, and standing and must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
· Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and involves regular interaction with staff, clients, and the public. Employees must be able to work safely and effectively in varying outdoor weather conditions throughout their employment.

Compensation
· First Officers will be offered an agreed base salary plus milage pay and night shift premium.
· Salary will increase as increase in seniority and experience, which could be negotiated with HR
