Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) – Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics

Yorkton Pediatric Dentistry & Yorkton Orthodontics is seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and motivated Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) to join our growing specialty practice in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in both Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, providing exceptional care while building lasting relationships with children, teens, and their families. Whether you have experience in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, or are looking to expand your skills, we offer a supportive environment where you can continue to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

As a Certified Dental Assistant, you will:

Assist pediatric dentists and orthodontists during clinical procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials.
Take digital radiographs, intraoral scans, impressions, and clinical photographs.
Assist with orthodontic procedures, including bonding, debonding, appliance delivery, archwire and ligature changes (within scope of practice), and orthodontic emergencies.
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, orthodontic appliances, elastics, retainers, expanders, and home care.
Maintain accurate clinical records and charting.
Follow infection prevention and sterilization protocols.
Monitor inventory and maintain clinical supplies.
Support an efficient patient flow while delivering outstanding customer service.
Work collaboratively with both the clinical and administrative teams to provide an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) licensed or eligible for licensing in Saskatchewan.
Pediatric or orthodontic experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Orthodontic Module is considered an asset. Candidates interested in orthodontics and willing to obtain their Orthodontic Module are encouraged to apply.
Experience with Dentrix, Dolphin and digital technology is an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Passion for providing exceptional patient care.
