This posting is for 3 vacancies: one full-time 2-year term position, one part-time term position ending October 16, 2026, working 67.5 hours bi-weekly and one full-time term position ending December 14, 2026, working 75 hours bi-weekly. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill anticipatory permanent, term, AOC and casual vacancies.

Your role
The Yukon Home Care Program provides client-focused health services in the home, improving quality of life and supporting Yukoners to live independently. Home Care offers a range of services tailored to meet individual needs, including support for acute care, chronic and palliative conditions. These services are determined through standardized assessments to assist in creating individualized plans of care; and are supported by an interdisciplinary team, consisting of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Licensed Practical Nurses, Social Workers and Home Support Workers.
As an integral team member, the Registered Nurse service delivery includes client specific care coordination, liaising with the medical community direct nursing care, such as; education, treatment related to medical conditions (i.e. wound care, ostomy care etc.), collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, development of care plans, funding requests, and other nursing duties.

Essential qualifications

- Eligible for Registered Nurse registration with a Canadian registered nursing regulatory authority
- Recent and relevant clinical nursing experience within the Registered Nurse scope of practice, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
Home Care and/or Community Care nursing experience would be considered an asset

Conditions of employment

- Vulnerable Sector RCMP security clearance
- CPR Level C with AED (complete within last 30 months)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (complete within last 30 months)

- Valid class 5 Driver's License without driving restrictions
