Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth restaurant operations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
Prepare and serve food items according to established standards, ensuring quality and presentation
Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, dining spaces, and food handling stations in compliance with food safety regulations
Assist in food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as needed
Manage time efficiently to serve multiple tables promptly while providing attentive customer service
Ensure all food served meets safety standards and proper sanitation procedures are followed at all times

Experience

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
Knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation practices is advantageous
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
Experience in cashiering, cashier operations, or cash handling is desirable
Ability to manage time efficiently in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail
Basic math skills necessary for processing transactions accurately and upselling menu items
