The Bilingual Inside Salesperson, under the direction of the Inside Sales Supervisor, will primarily be responsible for communicating with English and French-speaking customers, determining their needs, entering their orders, and handling customer complaints as they arise. This position will build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services. This role will also develop and build relationships with new accounts and develop additional contacts within existing accounts. The Inside Salesperson must have three years of related sales experience and work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Duties
Maintain a high level of customer service
Assess a customers’ needs and resources and recommend the appropriate material for the required application
Take orders from customers or Outside Sales reps and accurately enter the orders into the computer system for production
Promote the full product line and suggest items that would complement their existing order
Handle customer complaints as they arise, escalating to the appropriate individual as deemed necessary
Estimate or quote prices, completion dates, and delivery dates
Review orders to ensure accuracy
Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, and other research
Maintain contacts and relations with major accounts
Develop and build relationships with new accounts and develop additional contacts within existing accounts
Relay customer suggestions for company products to management
Identify and be aware of potential new customers
Answer external and internal phone calls and transfer calls to the appropriate departments
Liaise with various departments including Purchasing, Shipping, and Accounting to ensure the customers needs are handled as efficiently as possible
Use a desktop computer with business software to enter orders, look up material availability, and search existing orders
Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
Adapt communication style in order to deliver information effectively to a range of individuals
Job Requirements
Fluent in English and French
Three years of related sales experience
A minimum of two (2) years of ERP- based order entry experience is strongly preferred
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
Ability to quickly pick up new product and service knowledge, and communicate that knowledge effectively to customers
Demonstrated time management skills
Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates, the base pay range for this position is $65,000 to $70,000 per year. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary bonus.
