Undercover Loss Prevention Officer

Retail Store – Saskatoon, SK

Armour Security & Protection Services Corp. is currently hiring an Undercover Loss Prevention Officer for a retail store in Saskatoon.

Armour Security is a professional security services company providing security, loss prevention, concierge, mobile patrol, and site security services across Canada. We are looking for a confident, observant, and professional individual who can support a retail environment by helping reduce theft, monitor suspicious activity, and protect the client’s property, staff, and customers.

Position Details

Position: Undercover Loss Prevention Officer
Location: Retail store in Saskatoon, SK
Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time opportunities may be available
Schedule: Based on site needs and applicant availability

Responsibilities

Monitor the retail floor in plainclothes/undercover capacity.
Observe and identify suspicious behaviour, theft activity, and potential loss prevention concerns.
Conduct regular floor walks throughout the store.
Support store management with theft prevention and safety concerns.
Prepare clear and accurate incident reports when required.
Communicate professionally with store management, Armour Security management, and law enforcement when needed.
Follow all site procedures, company policies, and applicable laws.
Maintain a professional, calm, and confident presence while working in a retail environment.
Assist with lawful interventions only when trained, authorized, and safe to do so.
Protect client property while maintaining a respectful customer-focused approach.

Requirements

Valid Saskatchewan Security Guard Licence is required.
Previous loss prevention, retail security, or security experience is preferred.
Must be comfortable working in an undercover/plainclothes retail environment.
Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to write clear incident reports.
Must be professional, reliable, punctual, and well-groomed.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to remain calm and professional during difficult situations.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
Must be available to work flexible shifts based on store needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous retail loss prevention experience.
Knowledge of theft prevention procedures.
Experience dealing with shoplifting or high-risk retail environments.
First Aid certification is an asset.
