Full-Time Faculty Position: Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Educational Ministry Studies

As TEDS enters a new chapter as the embedded seminary of Trinity Western University (TWU) in Langley, British Columbia, we are expanding our academic team to support this exciting integration and growth.

We invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Educational Ministry Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 1, 2026. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Educational Studies, Practical Theology or a closely related discipline and will have formal training in Intercultural Studies or a related discipline. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team committed to theological excellence, spiritual formation, and global engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Mentor and support students in their academic and spiritual formation.
Qualifications

Demonstrated teaching ability.

Qualities of character and personality expected in a teacher and counselor of students, and other Christian virtues.

Demonstrated commitment to ministry.

Evidence of theological competence.

Demonstrated ability to teach in the areas of Christian Ministry, Youth Ministry, Mission and Culture, and Evangelism and Faith Formation.

An earned terminal degree in an appropriate discipline.

Demonstrated ability in scholarship and research.
-
Experience engaging global Christian communities, cross-cultural contexts, or international scholarly networks.
