Administration Assistant, Cash Services (Temporary)
The Administration Assistant, Cash services is responsible for providing support to the Administration department through the execution of administrative duties according to detailed procedures and with complete accuracy as a function of the Cash Services team.
Position Type: Vacant Position
Salary Range: $44,000.00 – $50,000.00 Annually
Job Type: Temporary, Full-time
In summary, the Administration Assistant, Cash Services will
Contribute to the success of the cash services department through day to day activities to ensure the objectives of the department are achieved.
Process and verify deposits, incoming cash and cheques daily.
Assist in balancing ATM machines and completing ATM traces for issues related to member withdrawals
Process all cheques from retail locations to Central 1. Reconcile all delayed cash general ledger accounts.
Assist in the operation of a sub treasury in the absence of treasurer.
Monitor the automated ATM and Brinks reports daily and troubleshoot when required.
Balance all cash services in reference to general ledger accounts, daily and monthly reconciliation is required in a timely manner.
Ensure appropriate levels of inventory are maintained and prepare orders when necessary.
Use critical thinking skills and initiative to identify discrepancies and through your own initiatives resolve differences.
Provide quality service to our internal members by adhering to strict deadlines.
Comply with established policies, guidelines and procedures related to risk management.
Any other duties as assigned
The “must-have” skills and qualifications that we’re looking for are:
- Post-secondary education in Office Administration
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a related position
- A minimum of five years’ cash handling experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and maintain adherence to strict policies and procedures
- Excellent computer proficiency operating Microsoft Office programs
These additional skills are considered assets too:
- Prior experience within the financial services industry
