Your Opportunity:

Working under the general direction of the area supervisor, the Administrative Support IV - Booking Clerk performs reception and patient appointment scheduling duties for the Diagnostic Imaging department. The individual will be required to obtain and maintain all records associated with an appointment and will work closely with other areas within the Diagnostic Imaging department.

Description:

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:

Some post-secondary education.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent and Medical Terminology Course required. Recognized Business/Clerical course desired. Accurate and proficient keyboarding skills – must be able to type a minimum of 35 wpm. Absolute attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent knowledge of the English language both written and oral. Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional image, manage stressful situations with empathy and to remain calm, courteous, sensitive, and tactful. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Skilled at paying close attention to detail. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Able to prioritize work and cope with frequent interruptions. Previous electronic Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling experience preferred. Minimum 3 months' recent experience in a hospital or medical environment, involved in booking, reception, and clerical duties preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Windows (Word, Excel, Internet, and Email). Must be able to utilize dual monitors.

Preferred Qualifications:

Connect Care Experience is an asset. Current experience in a Diagnostic Imaging Department with MRI, CT, General Xray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures workflow preferred.
