Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Full-Time or Seasonal Welder to join our team. This role involves performing various welding and fabrication tasks to support our heavy equipment technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with diverse responsibilities, utilizing a wide range of tools and equipment to produce high-quality metal components for a large fleet of trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and stick welding on various materials according to project specifications
Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication
Conduct rigging operations and assist with crane setup for lifting heavy materials safely
Support mechanics as needed
Follow safety protocols related to welding, crane operation, and general shop procedures
Assist in the setup and operation of forklift and/or zoom boom for material handling when necessary
Ensure all work meets quality standards through inspection and testing
Report directly to your shop foreman

Requirements

Proven experience welding
Ability to problem solve independently
Mechanical knowledge
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, etc
Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation is a plus
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
Ability to work either full-time or seasonal schedules depending on project needs
Strong attention to safety protocols related to welding, machinery operation, and material handling
