The Local 1914 Kitchen at Elmhurst Golf & Country Club is a high-volume, seasonal operation located just minutes outside Winnipeg off Highway 59. We run a tight, motivated kitchen with a strong team culture — and we're looking for people who take their craft seriously.
The Role
We're hiring an experienced First Cook (Hot Side / Entrée) to join our team immediately. This is a hands-on evening-focused position responsible for executing our dinner à la carte menu, fine dining service, and banquet support for tournaments and weddings.
You will be responsible for:
- Executing hot side production for the dinner short-order and fine dining evening menus
- Proper cooking techniques and temperature control across a wide range of proteins and ingredients
- Prep, station organization, and end-of-shift cleaning to standard
- Supporting junior staff training and maintaining consistency
- Assisting with tournament and wedding banquet service as needed
- Overtime availability when required
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of cooking methods, heat control, and protein cookery
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and communicate professionally across departments
- A genuine passion for food and a desire to grow your skills
- Must have own reliable transportation — no bus routes serve our location
