Position: Senior Project Manager

Position Overview: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the execution and delivery of complex engineered process equipment and system projects. This role focuses on managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and communication from project kickoff through commissioning, while coordinating internal engineering, fabrication, automation, quality, and installation resources. This is a hands-on project delivery role intended for an experienced PM who understands engineered systems and can proactively manage technical risk without being the primary designer.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Delivery
- Manage multiple concurrent projects from award through commissioning and turnover.
- Own project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, cost tracking, forecasts, and progress reporting.
- Lead project kickoff meetings, internal reviews, and customer status meetings.
- Drive change management, risk identification, and mitigation strategies throughout execution.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical, commercial, and schedule issues.
- Ensure projects are executed in accordance with company quality systems and client requirements.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, automation, quality, and field installation teams.
- Interface with customers, vendors, inspectors, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Ensure engineering deliverables support fabrication and site execution needs.
- Support procurement activities by aligning schedules, priorities, and vendor deliverables.
- Mentor PM staff and support developmentof project management processes/tools.
Commercial & Customer Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers during execution.
- Manage expectations around scope, schedule, and cost.
- Lead &/or Support estimates, change orders, and commercial discussions related to project execution.
Qualification and Required Skills:
· 8+ years of project management experience in engineered equipment, process systems, or industrial projects
· Strong understanding of process equipment and sanitary systems in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or similar industries
· Experience managing skidded systems, tanks, piping, or automated process equipment projects
· Working knowledge of P&IDs, equipment specifications, and fabrication drawings
· Familiarity with ASME, BPE, GMP, and sanitary design concepts (hands-on design not required)
· Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, change orders, and technical risk
· Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
· Proficiency with MS Office; experience with ERP or project controls systems is an asset
