Position Overview
Reporting to the Lead - Supply Chain Management, the Materials Management Technician Non-Certified provides customer service to Southern Health-Santé Sud sites and programs. The incumbent is responsible for the ordering, receiving, storage, distribution, and delivery of supplies and equipment for facilities in the region, which also includes driving from site to site.

The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
Experience

Minimum one-year (1) relevant experience in a Supply Chain environment.

Previous experience working with MS Dynamics GP is considered an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).

Knowledge of basic safe work practices.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and Email.

Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.

Operates Southern Health-Santé Sud vehicles safely.

Physical Requirements

Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.

May be required to work in a variety of temperatures including excessive heat or cold.

No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.

May work occasionally evenings and weekends as necessary.

Will be required to travel to other regional facilities as the position duties may require.

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
