Company Description
Freshline is one of Canada’s premier processors of fresh-cut, value-added fruits and vegetables. We offer an extensive line of fresh-cut produce items to the foodservice, retail, and manufacturing sectors.
At Freshline Foods, we have the expertise to custom cut and pack any fresh fruit and vegetables to enhance quality and shelf life. We also offer private label programs.
All our manufacturing processes follow the strictest food safety guidelines in our industry and our full-time quality assurance team ensures all operations abide by HACCP/ G.M.P food safety guidelines.

Job Brief
Our company is looking for a motivated and experienced Production Lead Hand to support our production team in achieving operational goals.

Responsibilities

Oversee all production retail/bulk lines
Check labels
Check quality of product
Check product dates
Set up production lines
Oversee change-over to ensure the flow of production lines
Communicate work orders from supervisors to other staff
Report any equipment issues to the supervisor immediately
Follow all company policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
Always keep work area clean and tidy
Always wear proper PPE, as required
Always work safely to Occupational Health & Safety Act standards
Always work safely and in compliance to food safety, GMP, and HACCP rules

Job Terms

Job Type: Permanent Full-time, 40 hours per week, adjustment pending on business need
Probationary Period: 3-months or 480 hours, whichever longer
Work Location: 2501-A Stanfield Rd, Mississauga ON, L4Y 1R6
Shift Requirement: Must be flexible for morning or afternoon shifts, Sundays to Fridays
Compensation: $19-$22 per hour
Benefits: Group Benefits entitlement upon completion of probation time

Qualifications

Previous related experience
Knowledge in the food service industry, preferably the produce sector
