Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Baker/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, baking, and creating visually appealing baked goods. This role involves preparing a variety of baked items and cooked dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, along with a strong understanding of the food industry and excellent customer service skills.

Duties

Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including pastries, and bread, with attention to detail. cake decorating skill will help.
Cook and assemble menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
Handle food safely and maintain proper sanitation practices in accordance with food safety regulations
Package baked goods and prepared foods for sale
Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about menu items and assisting customers as needed
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Skills

Proficiency in baking techniques and cooking skills
Experience in restaurant or kitchen settings preferred
Strong food preparation and cooking skills across various cuisines
Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
Good packaging skills for baked goods and prepared foods
Kitchen experience within the food industry is highly desirable

Pay: $17.20-$21.00 per hour
