Le ou la Superviseur(e) du centre de distribution est responsable de diriger les opérations quotidiennes du centre de distribution afin d'assurer un flux efficace, précis et sécuritaire des marchandises, de la réception jusqu'à l'expédition. Cette personne assure un leadership mobilisateur auprès de l'équipe d'entrepôt, favorise l'excellence opérationnelle et instaure une culture de responsabilisation, d'amélioration continue et de collaboration. Le candidat idéal possède une solide expérience en gestion de centres de distribution, un excellent sens des opérations et une capacité démontrée à développer des équipes performantes.

Principales responsabilités

Superviser l'ensemble des opérations quotidiennes du centre de distribution, incluant la réception, l'entreposage, la gestion des stocks, la préparation des commandes et l'expédition.
Planifier les horaires, répartir les ressources et optimiser les activités afin de répondre aux besoins opérationnels.
Encadrer, mobiliser, former et évaluer les membres de l'équipe afin de développer leurs compétences et leur performance.
Assurer l'exactitude des inventaires grâce à des contrôles rigoureux et à la réalisation de comptages cycliques.
Suivre les indicateurs de performance (KPI) et mettre en œuvre des initiatives d'amélioration continue visant à accroître la productivité, la qualité et le niveau de service.
Veiller au respect des normes de santé et sécurité, des politiques de l'entreprise et des meilleures pratiques en entreposage.
Résoudre rapidement les enjeux opérationnels, les écarts d'inventaire et les situations nécessitant une intervention.
Promouvoir un environnement de travail axé sur la responsabilisation, le travail d'équipe, le respect et l'amélioration continue.

Qualifications et expérience

5 à 10 ans d'expérience progressive en gestion des opérations d'un centre de distribution ou d'un entrepôt, dont plusieurs années dans un poste de supervision ou de gestion.
Expérience démontrée en gestion d'équipes dans un environnement à haut volume.
Excellente connaissance des opérations d'entreposage, de la gestion des stocks, de la réception, de l'expédition et des meilleures pratiques logistiques.
Expérience en amélioration continue et optimisation des processus.
Capacité à analyser les indicateurs de performance (KPI) et à mettre en place des actions correctives.
Excellentes habiletés en leadership, coaching, développement des employés et gestion des conflits.
Fortes aptitudes en organisation, résolution de problèmes et prise de décision.
Bonne maîtrise des systèmes ERP/WMS et de la suite Microsoft Office.
Maîtrise des normes santé et sécurité et des procédures logistiques.

Position Summary

The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, ensuring the efficient, accurate, and safe flow of goods from receiving through shipping. This role provides strong leadership to warehouse employees, drives operational excellence, and promotes a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork. The ideal candidate is an experienced distribution leader with a proven track record of optimizing warehouse operations, developing high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional service levels.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all daily distribution center operations, including receiving, inventory, order fulfillment/picking, and shipping.
Plan staffing, schedules, and workflow to meet operational demands while maximizing productivity.
Supervise, coach, develop, and manage the performance of warehouse team members and team leads.
Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, inventory controls, and adherence to warehouse processes.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and service levels.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and warehouse best practices.
Investigate and resolve operational issues, inventory discrepancies, and customer service escalations in a timely manner.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.

Qualifications & Experience

5 to 10 years of progressive experience in distribution center or warehouse operations, including several years in a leadership role.
Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and logistics best practices.
Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency through continuous improvement.
Experience monitoring and analyzing KPIs to drive operational performance.
Strong leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, and employee development skills.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Experience working with ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and logistics procedures.
