WHAT IS THE ROLE?
Family Law - Legal Assistant
We are seeking a self motivated team player to add to our office. This position is in-office.
We want someone who is extremely well organized and can keep others organized as well. You should have excellent customer service skills and have experience dealing with people involved in high stress situations. We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to work in our Edmonton Office. We provide you with the tools and technology so that you can have success and share that with your team. We require someone with the following skills and attributes:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and team members;
- Excellent file management;
- Billing and timekeeping functions;
- Draft letters and documents;
- Answer phone calls, handle customer enquiries, concerns and instructions.
- Smart and Coachable;
- Ability to learn quickly;
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
- Graduate of a recognized legal assistant program or equivalent experience;
- Experience maintaining an efficient filing system (physical and electronic files);
- Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook;
- A client focused approach and commitment to providing exceptional service to internal and external clients;
- A positive, self-starter attitude with ability to take initiative;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Builds positive rapport with staff, lawyers and clients;
- Follows instructions with minimum supervision;
- Enthusiasm for continued career growth and development;
- Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of discretion;
- Able to have interactions with the appropriate level of tact and diplomacy.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $40,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
