We are currently looking for a PASTRY CHEF de PARTIE to join our dynamic team at GLOWBAL RESTAURANTon West Georgia. Located in Vancouver’s architectural landmark, TELUS Garden, this is where stripped down North American cuisine lives and breathes, taking ingredients from across the continent.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
Requisition food and kitchen supplies prepare and cook food on a regular basis
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Assist to recruit, hire and train staff
Prepare and cook baked goods, pastries on a regular basis, for special guests and functions
Prepare and cook baked goods, pastries or specialty foods
Supervise kitchen workers
Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
May plan menus and requisition food and kitchen supplies
Ability to communicate in English
Minimum 3 years’ experience

Education/Certification:

Foodsafe certified or equivalent (within 1 week of employment)
Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship, Red Seal and journeyman certificate or equivalent is preferred
