Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety in both home care and assisted living environments. Your responsibilities will include personal care, meal preparation, and companionship, all while fostering a supportive and nurturing atmosphere.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Support clients with dementia care by engaging them in activities that stimulate cognitive function.
Monitor clients' health status and report any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Help clients manage their medications as directed by healthcare providers.
Foster a respectful and trusting relationship with clients while maintaining their dignity.

Qualifications

Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care, senior care, or nursing home environments is preferred.
Knowledge of working with persons with disabilities is an asset.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for client mobility assistance.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Certification in CPR or First Aid is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided.
Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of clients, including availability for evenings or weekends if necessary.
