Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join a dynamic team of HR professionals. You will serve as a strategic partner to management, providing guidance and support in various HR functions. Your expertise will help foster a positive work environment, enhance employee engagement, and drive organizational effectiveness.

Duties

Collaborate with management to develop HR strategies that align with business objectives.
Provide support in employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts effectively.
Oversee training development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.
Implement process improvement strategies to streamline HR processes and enhance service delivery.
Conduct regular assessments of HR policies and practices to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
Manage and maintain positive labor relations within a union environment
Assist with negotiations and administration collective bargaining agreements
Address and resolve employee grievances and disputes an efficient manner
Analyze workforce data to identify trends and make informed recommendations for talent management.
Oversee full-cycle recruitment of new employees
Assist with payroll duties

Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
5+ years HR experience, preferably in a senior role, with focus on union and non-union environments
Proven experience in an HR business partner role or similar capacity.
Strong knowledge of employee relations practices and conflict resolution techniques.
Strong strategic EVP and EX experience
Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems ie ADP-WFN Time and Attendance
Experience in training development and process improvement initiatives is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Previous manufacturing and packaging industry
Unionized environment
Some travel required
