Job description:

MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.

This position will be located at our head office in Langley, BC. We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience:

Responsibilities:

Perform Geochem weighing in accordance with documented standard operation procedures.
Oversee weighing team’s day-to-day safety, production and work performance.
Oversee and maintain daily balance verification and production record.
Provide training to new team members.
Coordinate with digestion and specialty assay team members and staff from other departments to achieve the highest productivity.
Communicate and report general laboratory issues to the Geochem Supervisor as appropriate.
Perform daily weighing production calculation.
Assist in monthly CRM inventory counting.
Assist in ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 audit.
Organize and schedule the cleanliness of weighing workspace.
Perform other duties as required by Management.

Requirements:

Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English.
Detail oriented and ability to work well under pressure.
Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Diploma in Chemical Sciences / Technology or equivalent experience.
1-2 years' experience in a wet chemistry preparation facility at a commercial lab is preferred, but not required.
Must be fit and able to perform the inherent requirements of the job.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
